Lexington: The New Clays Mill North Lime Coffee & Donuts Opens For Business at Stonewall Center

Lexington: The New Clays Mill North Lime Coffee & Donuts Opens For Business at Stonewall Center

I made a quick visit to the new Clays Mill location of North Lime Coffee & Donuts this morning on its official opening day. The new shop looks great, although without that old building quirkiness of the original location. There were a number of folks sipping coffee and working on their MacBooks. And despite it being past morning rush there was still a healthy line at the counter.

In addition to the work preparing the new North Lime location, Stonewall Center has been getting a bit of a face lift of late. Facades are being freshened, new shops are moving in. North Lime can’t help but revive Stonewall as it’s a destination business, and also a sticky one since so many people will go in to work and hang out. Stonewall is the home to several other eateries, and I’m sure North Lime Coffee & Donuts will help rather than hurt them. Stonewall is easy access from the Fayette Mall area on Nicholasville Road via Reynolds and Wellington.

Clays Mill Key Lime - White Choc

I grabbed one each of today’s specials, the signature Key Lime donut and the seasonal peppermint white chocolate. Both were fantastic. And with the new location, North Lime Coffee & Donuts is troublingly close to my house.

  1. You should have grabbed a glazed!! They were fresh out of the fryer and still warm when I ate mine in the car :-)

    • The problem with North Lime is that they’re all good. I love the glazed, and will be back (probably too soon)!

  2. Soon as I get to feeling better and have my surgery I will definitely be there I been to the one downtown great donuts…..

    • Feel better soon–donuts always help!

  3. I love North Lime Coffee and Donuts. We drink Nate’s Coffee so I buy his fresh roasted beans there AND donuts from time to time. They are TOO GOOD!
